Evgeny Kuznetzov Hints at His Next NHL Team in New Picture

Evgeny Kuznetsov is eyeing an NHL return next season, and a picture that surfaced on social media has now given a hint at which team he may be ready to join.

After departing the NHL for Russia last season, veteran forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has seemingly changed his mind rather quickly, as the 33-year old is reportedly seeking a return to the league for the 2025/26 season and beyond.

Unsurprisingly, there's plenty of interest in the former 80 point forward, and while he's likely not going to produce at that level again, he could come in fairly cheap for a team needing veteran depth up front.

However, in a photo that has now surfaced on social media, Kuznetsov was seen having some fun as a goaltender, and while he's not going to make that change full-time, the team that he was representing in that photo tells us plenty about his future.

In the photo, Kuznetsov is wearing the gear of the Vegas Golden Knights, and given that the team always love having as much depth as possible, the links to Vegas for Kuznetsov makes plenty of sense.

It's unclear however why he's wearing this gear, and while fans shouldn't look too much into the situation, it would make perfect sense if Vegas were looking to add a veteran like Kuznetsov, despite having just 24 points in his final NHL season back in 2023/24.

Ultimately, it makes sense that Kuznetsov wants to return to the NHL, as he was dominant at the KHL level a season ago with 37 points in 39 games played, and if it is Vegas that he ends up with, it would be another fantastic addition for the team as they seek to get back to the Stanley Cup Finals next season.
