Fans Outraged at the Edmonton Oilers After Shocking Cup Finals Ticket Prices Release

The Edmonton Oilers are back in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but now, fans are shocked at the prices they'll need to pay to get in for Game's 1 and 2.

After decades of misery and falling short, the Edmonton Oilers are once again on the cusp of Stanley Cup greatness, but standing in their way once again are the back-to-back Eastern Conference Champion Florida Panthers.

This time around however, it's the Oilers with home ice advantage, as Game's 1 and 2 will take place north of the border in Edmonton, but unfortunately for fans there, that means incredibly expensive tickets.

When those tickets were announced, many feared they would be expensive, and at this point in time, the cheapest ticket for Game 1 sits at over $1,000, with some in the lower bowl going for as much as $8,400.

Unsurprisingly, fans on social media are absolutely outraged, with many calling out just outrageous prices have become as fans in Canada look to witness their first Stanley Cup Champion since the Montreal Canadiens way back in 1993.

There are much cheaper ways to enjoy the action in Edmonton, with live watchalong's outside the arena becoming incredibly popular for Oilers fans, but to see the action in person, it's become way too expensive for the common fan.

Ultimately though, this is a chance to witness history, as the Oilers seek their first Stanley Cup since 1990, as well as the first in the career of franchise legends Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and while the arena will no doubt be packed of passionate fans creating an immense atmosphere for their team, it's a crazy price to pay for those fans.
