The Dallas Stars' 2025 Prospect Games roster is packed with young talent and hidden gems who could shape the team's future in Frisco this September.

The Dallas Stars' next generation is about to take center stage as the organization revealed its full roster for the 2025 NHL Prospect Games. Fans in Frisco will get a free look at future Stars when Dallas prospects face off against the Detroit Red Wings on Sept. 13 and 14 at Comerica Center.

This showcase always draws attention, but this year feels special with several names who could be part of Dallas's long-term future.

Forwards Emil Hemming and Cameron Schmidt headline the roster, along with promising defenseman Tristan Bertucci and towering blueliner Niilopekka Muhonen. Goaltender Arno Tiefensee, fresh off a strong season in Germany's DEL, will also be one to watch.

Emil Hemming and Cameron Schmidt lead the Dallas Stars' exciting crop of prospects at the 2025 NHL Prospect Games

Hemming, the 2024 first-round pick, is coming off an impressive playoff run with the OHL's Barrie Colts, and fans are eager to see how he stacks up against top competition. Schmidt, meanwhile, has been drawing comparisons to Logan Stankoven thanks to his speed and goal-scoring ability in the WHL.

Dallas has also included several players who already have AHL experience with Texas, such as Sean Chisholm, Ayrton Martino, and Justin Ertel. Their presence should provide a strong balance of maturity and upside as the Stars' staff evaluates the group.

The prospect games aren't just about stats on the scoresheet, they're a chance to see who competes hard in every shift, who adapts quickly, and who might push for NHL consideration in the next year or two. As Stars general manager Jim Nill often says:

"You don't win championships without depth, and that depth starts with your prospect pool."

For fans, this event is also a rare opportunity. Admission is free, and Victory+ will broadcast both games, ensuring supporters across Dallas and beyond can watch the future of the franchise take shape.

Personally, I think this year's roster shows how strong the Stars' pipeline really is, even without the same attention as some other NHL systems. From Hemming's elite shot to Schmidt's energy, there are several names worth circling now.
