Flames announce 2025 development camp roster and schedule

Now that the NHL Draft is complete and we’re about to hit free agency, it’s also time for an annual rite of summer: the Calgary Flames’ development camp at Winsport.

This year’s camp features a smaller roster and a more streamlined on-ice segment, with the camp having two days of on-ice sessions (July 2 & 3) at Winsport and things seem more like an orientation camp with some on-ice instead of an extensive week of drills and scrimmages.

The roster

24 players are attending camp, down from 38 last year. They’ve invited 4 goaltenders, 7 defencemen and 13 forwards.

Goaltenders:

  • Owen Say [#50] (free agent signing)
  • Arsenii Sergeev [#40] (2021 seventh-rounder)
  • Jordan Switzer [#41] (camp invite)
  • Yegor Yegorov [#81] (2023 sixth-rounder)

Defencemen:

  • Axel Hurtig [#67] (2023 seventh-rounder)
  • Jakob Leander [#75] (2025 seventh-rounder)
  • Henry Mews [#56] (2024 third-rounder)
  • Etienne Morin [#59] (2023 second-rounder)
  • Isa Parekh [#97] (camp invite)
  • Zayne Parekh [#89] (2024 first-rounder)
  • Mace’o Phillips [#92] (2025 third-rounder)

Forwards:

  • Andrew Basha [#49] (2024 second-rounder)
  • Jacob Battaglia [#60] (2024 second-rounder)
  • Matvei Gridin [#51] (2024 first-rounder)
  • Trevor Hoskin [#85] (2024 fourth-rounder)
  • Carter King [#95] (free agent signing)
  • Hunter Laing [#53] (2024 sixth-rounder)
  • Aiden Lane [#84] (2025 sixth-rounder)
  • Luke Misa [#78] (2024 fifth-rounder)
  • Cullen Potter [#42] (2025 first-rounder)
  • Cole Reschny [#77] (2025 first-rounder)
  • Theo Stockselius [#84] (2025 second rounder)
  • Aydar Suniev [#36] (2023 third-rounder)
  • Ethan Wyttenbach [#79] (2025 fifth-rounder)

It’s essentially everybody from the last three draft classes, except for Sam Honzek (who’s already playing pro hockey), Jaden Lipinski (who’s been to a few of these already), Eric Jamieson and Kirill Zarubin.

Players attending from outside of those three draft classes are the two goalies that just signed, Owen Say and Arsenii Sergeev, plus invites Jordan Switzer and Isa Parekh.

The schedule

Players will be split into six groups for a bit of on-ice work on Wednesday and Thursday at Winsport. Ice times on both days are 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. We’ll have more information on the on-ice groups as they become available.
