Gabriel Landeskog has been out for almost two full seasons, but now, footage of him at practice has ignited rumours of a potential return on the horizon as he has made it clear in recent times that he's still pushing hard to get back to the NHL.

The Colorado Avalanche have been without their captain Gabriel Landeskog for a long, long time, with many fearing that his career could be over after suffering some major setbacks in his push for a return from injury.

There have been some signs in recent times that he may not be done however, especially from No. 92 himself, who suggested in the latest episode of 'A Clean Sheet: Gabriel Landeskog' that those expecting retirement from him may need to rethink their stance.

Now, we've got our latest positive sign, as a video has been shared of him at Colorado Avalanche practice, and in the video, it was clear that he was skating at almost full speed as a return could be on the horizon.

With just a month left in the 2024/25 season, it's unclear if he's targeting a return before the end of the regular season, eyeing a return in the Stanley Cup Playoffs or simply preparing himself for next season, but either way, this is a fantastic sign for the veteran forward.

At 32-years of age, there's still plenty of time for Landeskog to play another few full seasons in the NHL if he can get back to 100%, and while a training video doesn't show that he's ready to return to the rigours and physicality of the NHL and especially the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it's another sign that he's pushing hard, meaning we could potentially see him back any day now.
