There are just over 24 hours left until the start of the series between the Habs and the Hurricanes. Are you excited?
Ever since the Canadiens ended the Sabres' season, there's been a lot of talk about the next challenge facing the team. We've analyzed the Hurricanes, and we now have an idea of what to expect.
That said, it's also interesting to look at what the Habs' opponent thinks of the Montreal team. And today, we got just that.
One guy who's been making waves is Nick Suzuki. It felt like the Hurricanes really wanted to sing his praises on the sidelines of the series.
Jordan Staal, for example, called him an exceptional player.

And Rod Brind'Amour, for his part, also heaped praise on the Habs' captain, as well as his teammates on the Habs' first power-play unit.
The Hurricanes coach praised the five players on the unit, stating that they are excellent at what they do and that their combination is so threatening that it's a cause for concern for him.
Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour today on the Habs' first power play unit:
“They have dynamic players. All five of those guys, in their own right, are elite at what they do (Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovsky, Demidov & Hutson). You put them together in those roles and I think they feed off each other… pic.twitter.com/GchP1FP6Mp

And there's another player who, unsurprisingly, has been making waves: Jakub Dobes. The Habs' goaltender, who has been on fire since the start of the playoffs, is obviously a name to watch in this series.
His opponent, Frederik Andersen, admitted that he doesn't know much about Dobes. That said, he knows he's good and that he's on fire.
That pretty much sums it up, hehe.
What does Frederik Andersen know about Jakub Dobes?
“Not much. I know he's good and that he's been on a roll lately.”

It's not particularly surprising to see the Hurricanes making sure to butter up the Habs. By doing so, they're not giving Martin St-Louis's men any ammunition to get fired up ahead of the series between the two clubs.
But judging by comments from members of the Hurricanes organization, Nick Suzuki, Jakub Dobes, and the first power-play unit are the names causing quite a stir among the opposition right now.
– Nick Suzuki has also been giving his opponents a hard time.

“Jaccob Slavin is one of the best defensive defensemen in the NHL, and all their players are connected. It's going to be a tough series to play.” pic.twitter.com/yBqV8U051W
