The Canadiens’ off-season is well and truly behind us. Tonight, the club will play a real game in Toronto. After months of speculation and personnel moves to improve the club, we’ll have our first opportunity (of at least 82) to see the club in action. Will Martin St-Louis’ men, despite their youth, do better than last year?
The fact that the Habs have openly admitted they want to win at least one round of the playoffs this year, despite being THE YOUNGEST team in the NHL, is extremely exciting and speaks volumes about the long-term talent/potential of the group.
Happy new season

Obviously, if the Habs want to do better than last year, it’s going to take a contribution from everyone. All 18 skaters (and the goalie) will have to play as a team, but on some nights, the best will have to be the best. What I found interesting was Slaf’s admission that his summer of work in 2025 was quite a bit more productive than in 2024.
Maybe the year before, I was too comfortable, I don’t know. But I feel that my summer (2025) was harder and better than the one before. I don’t know why, but that’s my feeling.

Remember that in the summer of 2024, he had just signed an eight-year contract and enjoyed a magnificent end to the season. Slaf has never been afraid to criticize himself publicly. I look forward to the day when he doesn’t have to
According to my information, Samuel Piette underwent a medical procedure in the last few hours. After a few high-intensity sessions, the #CFMTL captain unfortunately once again experienced symptoms of his perilymphatic fistula (which was ultimately not… pic.twitter.com/D5HKHEu25g
