The head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Martin St-Louis, has just confirmed what we suspected about the new defensive acquisition, Alexandre Carrier.
The Quebec-born right-shot defenseman will indeed be in the lineup tomorrow night against the Detroit Red Wings.
This is excellent news!

We can therefore expect Jayden Struble to be sidelined.
We're excited to see Carrier in action, especially after he mentioned last night that he's living out a childhood dream by becoming a player for the Montreal Canadiens.
Carrier, 28 years old, is a 5-foot-11, 174-pound right-shot defenseman who was selected in the 4th round by the Nashville Predators in 2015.
He has recorded 7 points in 28 games this season with Nashville and has a career total of 69 points in 245 games in the NHL. His best season was in 2021-2022, during which he scored 30 points in 77 games.
He now continues his professional journey with the Canadiens, and we are thrilled to have him on board.
Martin St-Louis also added that he likes the depth Carrier brings to the table:
"I think it makes our group back there deeper"-Martin St-Louis on the addition of Carrier
I believe that's a unanimous sentiment.
Details to follow.
