Nashville Predators Sign Fifth Overall Pick

The Nashville Predators announced today that they’ve signed forward Brady Martin to a three-year, entry-level contract. The Predators drafted Martin fifth overall in this past draft. The 18-year-old forward in 57 games for the Soo Greyhounds in the OHL this past season recorded 72 points on 33 goals and 39 assists. He was a +25 with eight power-play goals, three shorthanded goals, two game-winning goals, and 68 penalty minutes. In five playoff games, he had four points on two goals and two assists. He was a minus-five with two power-play goals and eight penalty minutes. He also played for Canada in the World Juniors-18. In seven games, he had 11 points on three g oals and eight assists. He was a +15 with 29 penalty minutes.

Brady Martin

Martin started playing for the Waterloo Wolves in the Alliance U16. In 50 games over two seasons, he had 98 points on 48 goals and 40 assists. He had 44 penalty minutes. In 15 playoff games over the two seasons, he had 30 points on 12 goals and 18 assists. He had 20 penalty minutes. In 2023-24, in his first season with the Greyhounds, he played in 52 games, recording 28 points on ten goals and 18 assists. He was a +12 with three power-play goals and 40 penalty minutes. In 11 playoff games, he had a goal and an assist. He was even in plus/minus with four penalty minutes.
