The Nashville Predators and Columbus Blue Jackets will both begin their 2025-26 seasons with a Thursday night matchup in Nashville that will also mark the National Hockey League debut of Predators first-round draft pick Brady Martin.
The Nashville Predators have signed center Brady Martin to a three-year entry-level contract. At the time of publishing, the cap hit of the contract is not confirmed, as well as if there are any performance bonuses.
Every NHL player faces some degree of pressure. Even Aleksander Barkov, who has captained the Florida Panthers to back-to-back titles. However, some players certainly face more pressure than most, and of course inherently some players are facing the most pressure.
The Preds made some trades and some picks today. Toward the end of the draft it seemed as if they just didn’t like a lot of the available options, swapping multiple picks for same-round picks next season.
With the fifth overall pick in the NHL Draft, the Preds have selected center Brady Martin. Martin played for the Saulte Ste. Marie Greyhounds last season, and represented Canada at the WJC, wearing an A for both teams.
