NHL best bets for Thursday: Goal parlay to celebrate end of regular season

OK yes, the NHL regular season doesn't finish until tomorrow, but there are just two games on Friday. Tonight offers 15 games and 30 teams, and the best course of action seems to be to load up a goal-scorer parlay.

There are quite a few good-looking spots tonight. Our focus has been on teams with something still to play for, and quite a few check off that box tonight. Couple motivation with a soft opponent, and tonight could be quite a fun one on the ice.

We have five picks here to score. Feel free to bet them standalone or drop a few off, but we're proceeding with a five-leg parlay on FanDuel.

+3613 goal-scorer parlay

Nathan MacKinnon (-130)

  • Colorado fighting for top spot in the Central division, while Winnipeg is locked into its seed. Jets allowing 3.2 goals per game on the road over their last 10. Slight power-play edge that suggests the Avalanche can score when given the opportunity
  • MacKinnon has nine goals in his last 10 games and a goal in 11 of his last 14 at home
  • Against Winnipeg, MacKinnon has scored five goals in his last seven meetings

Jason Robertson (+120)

  • Dallas also fighting for the top spot in the Central division. Just beat St. Louis 5-2 last night and look well-positioned to score goals again tonight
  • Massive power-play edge that favors Dallas scoring on the PP
  • Robertson tied for team lead in power-play goals this season
  • Robertson has five goals in his last seven and three goals in his last three at home
  • Against St. Louis, Robertson has scored in three of his last four meetings

Connor McDavid (-140)

  • Oilers have a chance at top spot in Pacific Division with a win and a Vegas loss
  • Edmonton averaging 4.3 goals per game at home over their past 10 games and San Jose allowing 4.2 on the road in the same stretch
  • McDavid has scored in 65% of his home games this year
  • Has four goals in three games against the Sharks this season

Elias Pettersson (+130)

  • Arizona allowing 3.9 goals per game at home over their last 10 and really struggling with penalties
  • Pettersson one of the most involved power-play shooters and scorers on Vancouver
  • Pettersson has a goal in four of his last five games against Arizona
  • Has 15 shot attempts and 10 SOG over his last two games

Adrian Kempe (+142)

  • Kings could drop to the wild card spot with a loss and a Seattle win; should be motivated to win here
  • Anaheim allowing 4.2 goals per game at home over the last 10 and have been one of the worst defensive teams in the league all season long
  • Power play edge favors Los Angeles, and Kempe is second on the team in power-play goals this year
  • Kempe has five goals in his last six meetings with the Ducks

Good luck tonight! Let's end this season right.
