NHL Rumors: Montreal Canadiens Interest in Kirill Marchenko
Would the Montreal Canadiens even have what the Columbus Blue Jackets want to Kirill Marchenko? Are the Dallas Stars even on Dylan Larkin's list? The Montreal Canadiens would be interested in Kirill Marchenko if he’s made available, but do they have what the Columbus Blue Jackets would want?

The Sheet with Jeff Marek: Marco D’Amico on Friday’s episode of The Sheet with Jeff Marek, when asked about Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko

Marek: “Yeah, let’s let’s get into it. So, what if anything, is cooking between the Montreal Canadiens and the Columbus Blue Jackets?

D’Amico: “Well, again, you know, Aaron Portzline kind of calmed things down a little bit. There was a report that came out from Daria Tuboltseva stating that a source believed the deal was close between the Columbus Blue Jackets and one of two teams.

Aaron has come in and said there hasn’t been any discussion, you know, dating back to the beginning of the month. It’s something that I heard. It’s something that’s been echoed by a bunch of other folks in the know.

The only thing I can confirm is if the Columbus Blue Jackets do get to a point where they do decide to move Kirill Marchenko, the Montreal Canadiens will be all over it.

Well, does that mean that they necessarily have the pieces that Don Waddell wants? That remains to be seen because I think the situation is a little different now than it was at the beginning of July, when we didn’t have the situation we have with RFAs right now.

And I’m, you know, the part of me is thinking Adam Fantilli. I don’t think Don Waddell in the month of June was thinking Adam Fantilli was going to cost him north of $13 million, but that’s the reality now.

Are the Dallas Stars on Dylan Larkin’s list?

Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now: Everyone knows that Dylan Larkin would accept a trade to the Minnesota Wild, Vegas Golden Knights or Florida Panthers. MLive.com has reported that Larkin would accept a trade to the Dallas Stars, but the Detroit Free Press has disputed that.

Can Dylan Larkin Remain With the Detroit Red Wings Next Season?

The Wild and Detroit Red Wings have held talks, but the Wings aren’t overly thrilled with the Wild’s younger players that they are willing to include, and the Wings also want at least one proven player in the deal. With Steve Yzerman now out as GM, will the new GM be okay with a deal be okay with a deal involving more picks and prospects?

The Wild, and other teams on Larkin’s list, can’t fit his $8.7 million cap, so they’d need to move out a player or two.
