The Edmonton Oilers are trading forward Viktor Arvidsson to the Boston Bruins, according to multiple reports.

In 2024-25, Arvidsson scored 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points in 67 regular-season games. In 15 Stanley Cup Playoff games, Arvidsson had two goals and five assists for seven points.
In 11 NHL seasons, Arvidsson has 194 goals and 195 assists for 389 points in 613 career regular-season games with the Oilers, Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators. He has also appeared in 87 career playoff games, scoring 15 goals and 29 assists for 44 points.
Arvidsson, a native of Skelleftea, Sweden, recorded two 30-goal campaigns with the Predators, and has hit the 60-point mark twice in his career. Drafted by Nashville in the fourth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Arvidsson made his 2014-15 debut.
The Bruins finished the 2024-25 season with a 33-39-10 record and 76 points, last in the Atlantic Division and the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference. They missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
As for the Oilers, they went 48-29-5 with 101 points, third in the Pacific Division. They advanced to the Stanley Cup Final for the second straight year, losing to the Florida Panthers in six games.
Earlier this week, the Bruins signed forward Morgan Geekie to a six-year contract with a $33 million contract extension, keeping him with the team through the 2031-32 season. They also signed Georgia Merkulov to a one-year, $775,000 contract extension.
