Marco Rossi is drawing immense interest around the NHL, and now one particular Canadian team is firming as a favourite to land the Minnesota Wild star.
This off-season is set to be a chaotic one around the NHL, and with some intriguing free agents, potential offer sheet targets and some big names on the trade block, things around about to get interesting.
One player that is almost certain to be traded is Minnesota Wild centre Marco Rossi, whose name has been in trade talks for the past few weeks, with almost every team seeking a young centre being linked to the 23-year old.
In 2024/25, Rossi tallied career highs across the board, posting 24 goals and 60 points in just his second NHL season, and while there's concern over his size (5-foot-9), the interest in him around the league shows just how talented he is.
Now, it appears as though the Vancouver Canucks are firming as the Canadian team most likely to land Rossi, and with the young star looking for a long-term deal, the Canucks could potentially put a deal together around Nils Hoglander or Jonathan Lekkermakki to get a deal done.
With J.T. Miller gone, the Canucks are in need of a top-six centre alongside Elias Pettersson to drive the play, and while that's not always been Rossi's game, with the right line mates, a trade could be worth it for Vancouver.
Ultimately, they'll need to make a deal that beats out the likes of Calgary, Pittsburgh and many other teams around the NHL with their eyes on the former top-10 draft pick, but if they see him as a long-term solution in their top-six, don't be surprised to see them go hard after Rossi this summer.
