The Ontario Reign played three games during the week and went 1-2-0-0.
The Reign played all three games on the road, with the first two being in Calgary. Ontario split the series with the Wranglers in what was their only trip to the Saddledome this season. The three-game trip concluded with a Saturday night matchup against the San Jose Barracuda. Ontario trailed 2-0, but took the lead in the third period on their third power-play tally of the evening. However, San Jose would score two goals in a span of 2:26 late in the third period for a 4-3 victory.
With the recap of the week over, let’s see who made the Reign’s three stars of the week!
Koehn Ziemmer
Koehn Ziemmer is an honorable mention for notching his first professional goal in the third period in Ontario’s 5-1 victory over the Wranglers. The first-year pro has four points (1 G, 3 A) in eight games playing on the fourth line at the right wing.

Jared Wright
Stat line: Three games played, one goal, one assist, two points, +3 rating, seven shots on goal
Jared Wright is the third star of the week, contributing with a goal and an assist in the Reign’s 5-1 victory over the Wranglers to begin the road trip. Wright scored a short-handed goal in the third period of that game for his third tally of the season and also added a helper before that in the second period.
Wright is tremendously fast, which is his greatest strength when putting pressure on the puck carrier on the forecheck. He has also seen penalty kill time. Another strong suit of his game is that he takes few penalties. He’s been nothing but a positive for the Reign so far. The first-year pro has four points (3 G, 1 A) through the first 15 games.
ALRIGHTTT WRIGHTERRR!!

Andre Lee
Stat line: Three games played, two goals, one assist, three points, +1 rating, eight shots on goal
Andre Lee finally got off the schneid with two power-play markers in the Reign’s 4-3 defeat to the Barracuda to end the road trip. Lee hadn’t found the back of the net in the nine games before that, despite having numerous chances in the two games in Calgary.

Lee has recently seen time on the second line with Glenn Gawdin and Cole Guttman while also serving as a big body down low/in front of the net on one of the power play units.
Stat line: Three games played, one goal, three assists, four points, +3 rating, four shots on goal
Kenny Connors had an outstanding week and continues to be solid as a rock at the third-line center spot in the Reign lineup. Connors led all Reign skaters in points this past week with four (1 G, 3 A) and recorded at least one point in every game on the road trip.

Connors isn’t a flashy player, but one who plays a 200-foot game and gets the job done. His +11 rating leads the team and leads all rookie skaters on the Reign in goals (3), assists (6), and points (9) through 15 games.
