Penguins announce 2026-27 promotional schedule and giveaways

We are now weeks away from training camp and preseason games and the Pittsburgh Penguins are gearing up for another exciting season. With the 2026-27 schedule already released, the team also released the promotional schedule, which includes some nice giveaways this season. Some special nights lined up to go along with exciting action on the ice pair up nicely. Let us take a look at what the Penguins have cooking in the 2026-27 promotional giveaways.

Penguins 26-27 opening information

Pittsburgh will start the season on September 30, 2026, against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. The game Penguins fans can't wait for is October 3, 2026, against the Montreal Canadiens and that is the home opener at PPG Paints Arena. That will be the first of many giveaways this season, as fans will receive a Magnetic Schedule upon entering the game. Fans may want to get there early as this will be a sellout.

The rest of the promotion schedule giveaways

On Monday, October 5 against the Winnipeg Jets, the giveaway is a Penguins team calendar. For the first 7,500 fans at the arena on October 24, they will receive an IceBurgh Building Blocks Set when the Penguins play the visiting Nashville Predators. The Utah Mammoth come to town on October 29 as the first 5,000 fans 14 and under will take home a trick-or-treat tote. The Boston Bruins will invade Pittsburgh on November 5 but the first 7,500 fans will take home a Lapel Pin Set. November 14 sees the Penguins take on the Ottawa Senators and the first 7,500 fans will take home Hall of Fame Mystery Bag Charms. November 19 is a special night as the Penguins celebrate Hockey Fights Cancer night bu giving away Hockey Fights Cancer Gloves to the first 7,500 fans to see the Penguins battle the St. Louis Blues. The first 7,500 fans through the gates on November 25 to see Pittsburgh battle the Calgary Flames will receive a Kitchen Apron and on December 5, the first 7,500 fans will take home a Mike Lange Catchphrase Alarm when Pittsburgh does battle with the New Jersey Devils.

The promotional giveaways continue as the Penguins will be giving away a 60th Anniversary Poster to all fans in attendance on December 18 against the Seattle Kraken. For those who love bobbleheads, get in line on January 23 as the first 7,500 fans in the door when the Penguins face off against the Vancouver Canucks will receive a Evgeni Malkin Bobblehead. January 31 sees the fans take home a 2017 Commemorative Championship Ring when they attend the Penguins and Flyers game. On February 2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the fans attending will take home a Black History Rally Towel. The first 7,500 fans on February 25 will receive an Iceburgh Loaf Pan and see great action as the Penguins take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. The New York Rangers will be in town on February 28 when the first 7,500 fans will take home a Evgeni Malkin Coffee Table Book.The last promotional giveaway will be on March 14 as the Penguins take on the Detroit Red Wings and the first 7,500 fans will take home a 60th Anniversary Patterned Shirt.

Before the 26-27 regular season begins and the promotional giveaways start, we have preseason hockey. The action begins on September 21 as the Penguins take on the Buffalo Sabres, then battle the Red Wings the next night, both games at PPG Paints Arena. The next two are road games for the Penguins as they take on the Blue Jackets in Columbus on September 24 then travel to Buffalo to close out the shortened preseason schedule on September 26.
