The Nashville Predators look to be without defenseman Adam Wilsby for Friday night’s road matchup against the Colorado Avalanche and potentially longer.
On Thursday, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reported that the blueliner is sidelined day-to-day with a lower-body injury, with little update on whether or not he will make the trip to Denver for the first of back-to-back road games. After taking on the Avalanche, the Predators make their way to Nevada for a Saturday night clash with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Wilsby snapped a 10-game pointless drought earlier in the week, putting up an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers to bring him to one goal and six assists in 36 regular-season games in 2025-26.
It is unclear where Wilsby suffered the injury. However, he played 21:30 of ice time in the loss to the Oilers, well above his average of 16:59 per game in 2025-26 and 17:25 across his 60 NHL games. In his 60 games, following his 2024-25 debut, he has two goals and 12 points, all with the Predators.
Wilsby has already played the most NHL games in a single season of his career in 2025-26, surpassing the 23 he played on a struggling Predators team in 2024-25, while he split his time between the NHL club and AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals.
Initially the 101st overall pick in the fourth round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Wilsby has played parts of three seasons in the AHL, after spending four seasons in the top division of Swedish hockey with Skelleftea AIK.
Ahead of Thursday night’s NHL slate, the Predators sat fourth in the Western Conference Wild Card race with 48 points, one point behind the San Jose Sharks, who held the conference’s final spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
After the quick two-game, back-to-back road trip against Colorado and Vegas, the Predators will have three consecutive home games against the Buffalo Sabres, Ottawa Senators and Utah Mammoth.
