The New York Rangers have reversed a transaction they made a few weeks ago. Per a team announcement, the Rangers recalled forward Jaroslav Chmelar from the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack and reassigned forward Taylor Raddysh.

Chmelar, 23, spent the first half of October with New York after registering his rookie campaign last season. The former fifth-round pick scored four goals and six points in 28 games with a -2 rating, while averaging 9:09 of ice time per game. The 6’5″, 238-lb winger also delivered 53 hits and finished with a 90.8% on-ice SV% at even strength.

Still, Chmelar remains looking for his first NHL point in the 2026-27 campaign. He went scoreless in seven games to start the season, though he averaged over two hits per game. Chmelar has understandably been more productive in the AHL, scoring two goals and four points in seven games for the Wolf Pack with a +3 rating.

Meanwhile, Raddysh returns to Hartford for the second time this season. A few days before the Rangers’ opening-night contest, Raddysh was passed through waivers and was cut from the initial roster. A veteran of 373 NHL games before the 2026-27 campaign, he made his first AHL stint since the 2020-21 season.

He played well for the Wolf Pack, scoring three goals and five points in five games. Since being recalled by New York on October 16th, Raddysh has registered one assist in six games with a +1 rating, averaging 7:34 of ice time. Last season, his first with the Rangers, Raddysh finished with nine goals and 19 points in 68 games.

Because he has already played in six games, Raddysh is nearing waiver eligibility. If he earns another NHL call-up this season, Raddysh can play four more games or spend at least 13 days on New York’s roster before requiring waivers again.
