With the 54th selection in the 2025 NHL Draft, the Calgary Flames have selected Theo Stockselius. He is a big bodied centreman from Sweden.

Analyzing the pick

Craig Conroy made this choice to continue addressing the Flames’ lack of young centremen. Stockselius stands at 6’2″ and weighs in at 181 pounds. He will likely become one of the tallest forward prospects on the Flames, which will make him a valuable addition. The best part of Stockselius’ game is playmaking. He proved this in Sweden in the previous season and looks to improve for next year.
