It wasn’t much of a hockey night last night.
Only eight teams were in action.
Here are the results and highlights:
That’s a wrap on Monday. The night closes with the @TBLightning and @NHLFlyers jumping into second in their respective divisions.#NHLStats: https://t.co/2kNTakXNy6 pic.twitter.com/PKDhoazuMN

1. Maple Leafs last in the East
The Toronto Maple Leafs didn’t play last night.
But the Blue Jackets did, and with a 3-1 win over the Kings, Toronto is now in last place in the East. Who’d have thought?
In the win, Mason Marchment scored two goals.
He has three in two games since joining the Jackets.

As for the Kings, they have just one win in their last six games.
They shouldn’t have traded Phillip Danault…
Kings drop to 1-3-2 in their last 6 with a 3-1 home loss to Columbus. 6th straight game they’ve been held under 3 goals.

2. A 20th victory for the Lightning
The Tampa Bay Lightning had a chance to reach the 20-win plateau last night.
With a 4-1 victory, Tampa Bay reached the plateau in 36 games.

Despite the loss and four goals on just 17 shots, Jordan Binnington shone here.
What a save!

In the victory, Darren Raddysh collected three points.
He has now reached the 100-point plateau for his career. In the first period, he collected two of his points.
Darren Raddysh (1-1-2) recorded his 10th career multi-point period and is now one shy of the 100th point of his career – a mark only eight other @TBLightning defensemen have hit. #NHLStats

3. A questionable Ross Johnston shot
In one of the late-night games, the Ducks hosted the Kraken.
Late in the second period, with Seattle leading 1-0, Mikael Granlund tied the game.

The visitors won 3-1.
Late in the game, Tye Kartye was the victim of a sneaky hit by Ross Johnston.
The scrum erupted.

4. Christian Dvorak, the baseball player
The Canucks were in Philadelphia, and they were no match for the Flyers.
The home side won easily, 5-2.
In victory, Philadelphia scored some fine goals. Christian Dvorak’s was one of them. He probably played baseball when he was younger.

And Nikita Grebenkin fed his teammate Carl Grundstrom in fine style.
Grebenkin finished the game with a goal, too.
Grebenkin’s on fire tonight!
Some silky moves and then dishes it out to Grundstrom to double the Flyers’ lead!
