With the NHL preseason ramping up, numerous players are being cut and plenty more are being placed on waivers where they can be taken by other franchises.
Yesterday, we reported on how 23 players across the league were placed on waivers. Today, it was revealed by Elliotte Friedman that all 23 players cleared waivers and that not a single team opted to pick anyone up.
What's more, is that a lot more players are going to be placed on waivers. Over the coming weeks, you can expect dozens of great players to find themselves on the waiver wire.
Below, you can find the 12 players who were placed on waivers today. There are some surprises here, which just goes to show that the NHL is a brutal league in which any player can get cut at any time.
