In a surprise move, the Dallas Stars are in the process of landing towering defenceman Tyler Myers out of Vancouver. This news was first broken by Darren Dregger in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter). Myers currently has one additional year remaining on his contract, carrying a cap hit of $3 million per season.
This move comes after Dallas announced that Tyler Seguin will miss all the remaining regular and postseason games, giving the Stars additional cap space this season. Myers should bring an edge to Dallas with his ability to throw big hits and knock pucks away with his long reach.
More to come as this trade continues to develop.
