Edmonton Oilers legend Wayne Gretzky shocked and surprised two Oilers fans with the gift of a lifetime, giving them tickets to the Stanley Cup Finals and more.

Recently, the Edmonton Oilers, Wayne Gretzky and his family, as well as content creator Zachery Dereniowski, who goes by MDMotivator on Instagram, teamed up to give a pair of Oilers fans the shock and surprise of a lifetime.

Dereniowski's style of content involves surprising unsuspecting fans with once-in-a-lifetime type of gifts and opportunities, usually doing so for families that have been struggling in life.

He did something very similar in this case, surprising a pair of Oilers fans who were shopping while wearing the team colors in the store.

Dereniowski was about to give these fans the surprise of a lifetime, offering them Stanley Cup Final tickets for just $1, because nothing in life is truly free.

What initially looked like a prank turned out to be an incredible day for these Oilers fans. Not only would they get tickets for $1, but they would also get $1000 in cash.

The fans who won the money turned around and gifted it to someone else in the store

The two fans then turned around and made a gesture that showed Dereniowski and Gretzky they had picked the right fans to surprise, with them paying it forward by giving the money to someone else shopping in the same store.

On top of everything, the two fans also got the chance to meet National Hockey League and Oilers legend Wayne Gretzky, with Gretzky's son Ty collaborating on this project to help make everything come together.

Gretzky gave both fans a jersey with his name and number and proceeded to autograph it for both of them as well. One of the fans revealed just how much he was enjoying himself.
