American Scottie Scheffler is the outright betting favorite to win the 2024 Men's Olympic Golf Competition at +400 odds at bet365 as he looks to win his first gold medal. The reigning winner of the Masters has won six of his last 11 starts and is coming off of a tie for seventh in his last start at The Open Championship (also referred to as the British Open) at Royal Troon.

Scheffler, the No. 1 golfer in the world, is making his first appearance at both Le Golf National and the Olympics this week.

Xander Schauffele, who has won two major championships this year at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship, has the second-shortest outright betting odds at bet365 at +600 to win the gold medal.

The American enters with momentum after his two-shot win at The Open Championship and has finished outside the top 25 in just one tournament in 18 starts on the PGA Tour in 2024. The reigning gold medal winner from the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan is the only golfer with a gold medal in the field this week.

Rory McIlroy missed the cut at the British Open, but he still has the third-shortest odds to win the Men's Olympics Golf Competition this week. The best golfer in Northern Ireland history is +900 to win his first gold medal this week in his second appearance at the Olympics after tying for fourth at the 2021 Olympic Men's Golf Competition in Tokyo.

McIlroy has made two prior appearances at Le Golf National in the 2010 and 2016 editions of the Open de France on the European Tour, where he finished in solo fourth and third, respectively.

Two-time major champion Jon Rahm is making his Olympics debut this week at +1000 odds following his victory this past weekend at LIV UK. The Spaniard does have experience at Le Golf National as he tied for 10th in the 2017 Open de France and tied for fifth in the 2018 Open de France here.
