Right now, the biggest concern for Team USA heading into their Olympic opener on Sunday against Serbia is the health of Kevin Durant . The Phoenix Suns superstar is still nursing a calf injury which forced him to sit out all five of the national team’s tune-up games building up to the Paris Games.
By the looks of it, however, it appears that Durant will be ready to go come Sunday.
Despite being cleared to join the squad for practice, Durant was still unable to play in Team USA’s final two exhibition games. Be that as it may, a video from a recent scrimmage session seems to point to the notion that the former NBA Most Valuable Player will be ready to face Serbia.

In case you missed it, that’s Durant taking off for a one-handed slam in the opening sequence of the clip. That calf looks fine to me.
There is still no official confirmation that Durant will suit up on Sunday but as of right now, all signs are pointing to the Suns star taking the floor against Nikola Jokic and Co.
Fans are already hyped about Team USA’s upcoming gold medal quest, and this development surrounding Durant is going to get them even more excited to see their team dominate the rest of the world.
