The WSOP Main Event 2026 has reached its final stage, with just nine players left competing for poker’s biggest prize. Out of a massive field of 9,208 entrants, the final table is now set at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Each remaining player has already secured at least $1 million, but all eyes are on the $10 million first-place prize. The action resumes August 3–5, 2026, at the Horseshoe Las Vegas, with live coverage on ESPN and the ESPN app.

Lucas Jumalon Headlines WSOP Main Event 2026

At just 22 years old, Lucas Jumalon is the breakout star of the WSOP Main Event 2026. The Spokane, Washington, native recently graduated with a degree in business and data analytics. Before this run, he mainly played low-stakes games and had career earnings under $200,000.

Now, he enters the final table with about 35% of the total chips in play. That advantage gives him strong control over the table and a real shot at becoming one of the youngest WSOP Main Event champions ever.

Experienced Pros Add Pressure

While Jumalon leads, several seasoned players bring serious experience to the table.

Greg Mueller, a former professional hockey player, has already won three WSOP bracelets and earned nearly $3 million in past events. Michael Gagliano also has three bracelets and a long track record at the World Series of Poker.

These veterans understand the pressure of big stages and could challenge Jumalon’s lead as the final table unfolds.

A Mix of New Talent and Global Competition

The WSOP Main Event final table also includes rising players like Rami Hammoud and Jamie Shaevel, along with international contenders such as Mario Boos, Lauri Saaskilahti, and Evagoras Evagorou.

For many of these players, this is the biggest moment of their careers. With at least $1 million guaranteed, the stakes are already life-changing—but the top prize could redefine their futures.

Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi (USA) won the 2025 WSOP Main Event. He finished 241st this year. He’ll take home $50,000.

WSOP 2026 Final Table Preview

The final table will play out under No-Limit Hold’em rules, where every decision can shift millions of dollars in value. Even with a large chip lead, nothing is guaranteed. Factors like payout pressure and shifting table dynamics can quickly change the outcome.
