The Kansas City Chiefs offense has looked sluggish thus far. However, a second-year star's impending return should provide the jolt the unit needs.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Chiefs (1-2) listed wide receiver Xavier Worthy as a full participant in Wednesday's practice, meaning he should be slated to play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens (1-2). The WR had missed K.C.'s past two games because of a dislocated shoulder he suffered in a Week 1 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Worthy — who set the 40-yard dash record (4.21) at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine — showed promise as a rookie. During the regular season, the first-rounder had 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdown catches in 17 games.
He also shone on the biggest stage. In a 40-22 Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, he had eight receptions for 157 yards and two touchdown catches, including a 50-yarder late in the fourth quarter.

K.C. ranks 15th in the league in passing yards (207.7). Mahomes believes the return of Worthy and WR Rashee Rice will help the Chiefs' air attack get back on track. (Rice is suspended for three more games because of his role in a multi-car crash in March 2024.)
"I think for us, at the end of the day, whenever we start getting these guys back like Xavier and Rashee when he gets back, it's going to make us better because guys have had to step up," Mahomes told the media on Wednesday. "So, we'll continue to get better as the season goes, but it'll be an important week this week."
Brown and WR Tyquan Thornton, who are tied for the team lead in receiving yards (171), have done a fine job. Still, they can't provide the firepower Worthy can. That should be useful in a pivotal game against Baltimore. The Ravens have surrendered the league's second-most passing yards (266 YPG).
