Watch: Yankees pitcher only needs 20 seconds to record strikeout

Love it or hate it, MLB's new pitch clock is going to completely change the way games are played this season.

We have already seen some wild things in the first weeks of spring training, and on Thursday New York Yankees pitcher Wandy Peralta delivered the latest when he needed only 20 seconds to record a three-pitch strikeout.

It happened in the bottom of the second inning of the Yankees' game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Pittsburgh's Tucupita Marcano was the hitter, and the at-bat happened so quickly that if you blinked you might have missed it.

Watch it all unfold in real time.

That is seriously impressive.

It is the combination of Peralta going with a quick approach to start the at-bat, him working fast presumably because of the pitch clock, and just throwing three absolutely perfect pitches. Marcano never even had a chance.

This might be an extreme example, but get used to this sort of thing. You are going to see a lot of it this season.
