The big story for the Edmonton Oilers through the first three games of the Stanley Cup Final was how quiet their stars, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, had been. Through three games, they had combined for zero goals and had not been any sort of a factor on the scoresheet.
That finally changed on Saturday night in Game 4 of the series against the Florida Panthers.
After Draisaitl helped set up a goal in the first period, McDavid broke through in the second period with the first Stanley Cup Final goal of his career.

McDavid is the most dominant offensive player in the league with five regular-season scoring titles and two MVP awards in his career. He has all of the individual honors one can get in the NHL and is only lacking a championship to cement his status as an all-time great. He and the Oilers have a long climb ahead of them in this series, but they've taken a first step.
The goal was McDavid's sixth goal of the playoffs. He entered play on Saturday leading all players in the playoffs with 29 assists and 34 total points.
