Early 2024-25 NBA title odds: Celtics favored to repeat

Oddsmakers expect confetti to rain down from the TD Garden rafters again a year from now, as the Boston Celtics are the odds-on favorite to repeat as NBA champions.

The Celtics are +300 to win the title, as they are expected to be the class of the Eastern Conference. The Milwaukee Bucks have the next-best odds out of the East at +1000, but it's only the fifth-shortest in the league. The Philadelphia 76ers (+1400) and New York Knicks (+1700) round out the top-four favorites from the conference.

Meanwhile, four teams from the West trail the Celtics, led by the Denver Nuggets at +750. The Minnesota Timberwolves are +900 while the reigning conference champion Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder are tied at +950.
