Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid already set the NHL's record for most assists in a single postseason, and he added to that total in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday night with two more helpers in the first two periods.
The second of those assists was the type of dazzling, sublime play that separates McDavid from the rest of the pack in the NHL.
He split through multiple Florida Panthers defenders and set up Corey Perry with his 34th helper of the playoffs, adding to his record total.
Have a look.

Just an insane play by the most dominant offensive player in the league. McDavid also added a goal earlier in the game, bringing his playoff point total to 41 points as of the end of the second period of Tuesday's game.
That point total, the assist record and the way he has helped carry a very flawed Oilers team to the Stanley Cup Final is creating the possibility for him to win the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP even if the Oilers do not end up winning the series.
