Solo Sikoa's Bloodline grows as Jacob Fatu makes WWE debut

Roman Reigns may still technically be the leader of The Bloodline, but Solo Sikoa is remaking the group in the Tribal Chief's absence. That process continued on the June 21 episode of WWE SmackDown just outside Chicago, with yet another new member joining the fray.

The member in question is Jacob Fatu, real-life cousin of Sikoa and a wrestler long expected to be incorporated into the Bloodline's story once it was reported in April that he had signed with WWE. The 32-year-old is best known for his time in Major League Wrestling, where he became the promotion's longest-reigning world champion.

Fatu made his presence felt right at the end of SmackDown, when he appeared as the insurance policy for his main event match against Cody Rhodes. When The Tongans arrived to aid Sikoa, they looked to be neutralized by Rhodes' fellow babyfaces, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

But Fatu quickly tipped the scales back in favor of The Bloodline, with WWE making him look like a big deal right out of the gate by allowing him to run through three of its biggest good guys.

An even more interesting twist to the saga that Fatu is joining came during a quieter moment earlier in the show. Sikoa told Paul Heyman that Reigns is never coming back, implying that he's in charge of The Bloodline for good — a change from last month when he insisted he was only running things until Reigns returned.

Of course, Reigns will eventually make his way back to WWE, most likely over the next few months. When he does, it's logical to expect that he'll be supported by fans and fight against Sikoa for control of the group.

In the meantime, Fatu isn't just a logical addition to The Bloodline because of his family ties, he's a legit beast of an in-ring performer who should shine given the opportunity. If his first WWE appearance was any indication, it appears the company understands that.
