We're going to Game 7. The Edmonton Oilers trailed 3-0 in the Stanley Cup Final against the Florida Panthers, but they stormed back in the series to force a seventh game in Sunrise, Florida, on Monday night.
The Oilers are the third team in NHL history to force a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Final and the first since the Red Wings vs. the Maple Leafs in 1945. They'll look to become the second team in history to win the Cup coming back from a 3-0 deficit after the Maple Leafs did it against the Red Wings in 1942.
What were the odds for a potential comeback?

Entering Game 4, the Panthers had a 3-0 lead and -3000 odds to win the series while the Oilers were +1300 underdogs. Entering Game 6, the Panthers were -350 to win the series with the Oilers listed +280. Despite defying the odds three games in a row, the Oilers are still underdogs to win on the road in Florida.
The possibility of a 3-0 comeback in the Cup Final isn't the only bit of history that could be made if the Oilers win Game 7.
Series favorites in the Stanley Cup Final have won four years in a row and are 10-2 in the last 12 years. It would also be a huge win for Canada. A Canadian team hasn't won a Stanley Cup since 1993. The longest drought for Canada prior to this? Six years between 1936-41.
