Hungary forward Kevin Csoboth let fans know its emotional victory over Scotland at UEFA Euro 2024 was for Barnabas Varga.
During the match, Varga collided with Scotland goalie Angus Gunn in mid-air, after which play was delayed for seven minutes as the 29-year-old received medical attention on the pitch in Stuttgart, Germany. He was carried off of a stretcher, with the Athletic's Ali Rampling later reporting that he was in stable condition.

Hungary (three points) is third in Group A behind Switzerland (five) and Germany (seven) but can still make the knockout round if it is one of the four best third-place teams.
Whether they advance to the round of 16 or not, Hungary's players deserve tremendous kudos for this victory. Despite not knowing whether their teammate was OK, the club displayed resilience and found the strength to pull off an epic win.
