The band is getting back together.

The New York Knicks are adding another former Villanova Wildcat after trading for Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets, according to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Knicks gave up Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick, a pick swap and a second-rounder to acquire Bridges from the Nets.

The Knicks were +1700 at FanDuel to win the 2024-25 NBA Finals one week ago. They have now jumped up to +900 at FanDuel to win the title. The Knicks are now tied for the fourth-highest odds to win the NBA Finals.

Bridges was part of the 2016 National Champion Villanova team which included fellow Knicks Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo. Brunson, Bridges and DiVincenzo starred on the 2018 Villanova team that also won the national championship.

At least three of those players will be starters for the Knicks.

Bridges will be in his seventh season in the NBA. He has been on the All-Defensive Team and was runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. Bridges averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game last season for the Nets.
