NASCAR odds: best bet, pick for Nashville on Sun. 6/30

NASCAR odds for Sunday's Ally 400 (3:30 p.m. ET, NBC) at Nashville Superspeedway have Denny Hamlin as the race favorite, and for good reason.

Hamlin got his car dialed in during practice and backed it up by winning the pole — and rather easily for that matter — in qualifying.

Sportsbooks have obviously taken note as well, pricing Hamlin anywhere between +350 and +380 depending on the shop.

For those who may not have followed along so far this week, I bet Martin Truex Jr. at +950 odds on Wednesday and haven't made any decisions regarding outrights for Sunday's race at this point.

On the other hand, there is a top-10 with enough value to take right now.

NASCAR Odds, Pick for Nashville

*Odds as of Saturday night

Bubba Wallace managed just a 24th-place starting spot in qualifying, but his long-run speed in practice is hard to ignore.

The 23XI Racing driver posted the fastest five-lap average, the third-best 10-lap average and the third-best 15-lap average of his practice group, indicating this car has plenty of pace in race trim.

While there is rain in the latest NASCAR forecast for Nashville, it is also expected to be hot and humid, meaning the track should be very slick once the race is underway.

If so, Wallace appears to have a car that is good on longer runs and can make passes, providing enough confidence for me to back the No. 23 Toyota to finish among the top 10 drivers in Sunday's Ally 400.
