Fresh off signing his own five-year, $204 million contract extension with the Philadelphia 76ers, Tyrese Maxey gave a glowing review of his newest teammate, nine-time All-Star Paul George.
George, who came to terms on a four-year, $212 million deal with the 76ers, has Philadelphia buzzing. During a conversation on the Takeoff Podcast with John Clark, Maxey raved about George, calling him someone you can "plug into any system because of his talent."
"He's a guy that can kind of pick up and plug into any system because of his talent, Maxey said via NBC Sports Philadelphia. "He's 6'9", this guy can shoot the ball, he can rebound the ball, pass the ball well, play on the ball, play off the ball, play off handoffs, play in transition...The sky is the limit."

The 76ers' new trio of Joel Embiid, George and Maxey has the potential to be one of the NBA's most dominant, largely for the reasons Maxey listed above. All three players are capable of doing a wide range of things on both ends of the floor, and the signing of George has led to Philadelphia being considered a legitimate title contender in 2024-25.
