Watch: D-backs 1B goes deep to tie Dodger Stadium record

Christian Walker is becoming quite fond of Dodger Stadium. On Thursday, the Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman went deep twice for the second night in a row, tying a unique and impressive record.

In the first inning, Walker homered for the fifth straight game at the legendary ballpark, tying the longest such streak at the legendary ballpark, which opened in 1962.

If that wasn't enough, Walker went yard again in the third inning, too.

Oddly enough, Walker's first-inning home run tied the single-season mark set by former Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson in 2015. Now with the Diamondbacks, Pederson homered against his old team right before Walker's record-tying long ball.

Adrian Gonzalez (2014-15) and Gary Sheffield (1999-00) also homered in five consecutive games at Dodger Stadium, but they both did so over parts of multiple seasons. Meanwhile, Walker equaled the longest homer streak by a road opponent against the Dodgers in baseball history, joining Willie Mays (1956, 1959), Joe Adcock (1956) and Del Ennis (1955), per Sarah Langs of MLB.com.

Walker's incredible streak began during the Diamondbacks' first meeting with the Dodgers in May, with homers in Games 2 and 3 of the series. But, after finishing the first three-game set in L.A. just 3-for-12, he returned in July with a vengeance.

Following his second homer on Thursday, Walker is 8-for-12 with five long balls and nine RBI over the last three days against the Dodgers. On the year, he now has eight home runs and 11 RBI at Dodger Stadium, second only to his output at home, Chase Field (10 home runs, 29 RBI).
