Euro 2024 odds: Netherlands’ late comeback secures final spot in semifinals

Turkey was 20 minutes away from pulling one of the biggest upsets of the 2024 Euros.

Turkey had a 1-0 lead over the Netherlands for 35 minutes after Samet Akaydin scored in the first half. In the 70th minute, Stefan De Vrij leveled the score with a header.

Just six minutes later, Cody Gakpo scored to rip the hearts out of the Turkey faithful, later ruled an own goal. Turkey made a late push but the Dutch made game-saving play after game-saving play.

The Netherlands advanced to the semifinal to face England for a chance to play in the championship.

Netherlands to qualify (-350) was the most bet prop at BetMGM. Gakpo was the most popular bet to score a goal which will leave bettors disappointed after it was ruled an own goal.

The Dutch were +650 at DraftKings to lift the trophy before the match against Turkey.

The Netherlands will face England in the semifinals. That match will take place at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday. England is expected to be favored in the match.

England is now +225 to win the Euros at DraftKings. They are the second-largest favorite behind Spain (+190).
