Soccer fans were treated to a pair of thrilling semifinal matches on Wednesday.
First, England scored in the 90th minute to beat the Netherlands and set up a showdown with Spain in the Euro 2024 Final.
Then, in the nightcap, Jefferson Lerma’s header in the 39th minute provided the game’s lone goal as Colombia defeated Uruguay to punch its ticket to the Copa America Final. Colombia managed to hold on despite playing with 10 players for the entire second half.

The win was Colombia’s 28th straight victory with their last loss two-and-a-half years ago. The team that beat them? Well, that would be the Argentina team they’ll face for the title.
Argentina’s a fairly large favorite as they’re -175 to capture their 16th Copa crown. A victory would break a tie with Uruguay for the most all-time. Argentina is also looking to defend their crown as they won it all in 2021. Meanwhile, Colombia is +140 to win their third Copa title. “Los Cafeteros” last won the tournament in 2001.
