Arike Ogunbowale leads list of 2024 WNBA All-Star Game standouts

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game is in the books. Here are five standouts from Team WNBA's 117-109 victory over Team USA.

Arike Ogunbowale, Team WNBA guard: The Dallas Wings veteran caught fire in the second half, scoring each of her game-high 34 points after halftime to earn MVP honors. Ogunbowale led the Team WNBA charge, shooting 10-of-20 from the field and 8-of-13 from beyond the arc to record the highest scoring output in All-Star Game history. 

Angel Reese, Team WNBA forward: Already a double-double machine, having posted 17 in 24 professional games, Reese proved she could do the same against Team USA. The Chicago Sky star finished with 12 points (5-of-10) and 11 rebounds, playing 18 minutes off the bench. 

Caitlin Clark, Team WNBA guard: Like Reese, Clark played to her strengths to help guide the WNBA All-Stars to a win. The 2024 No. 1 pick wasn't much of a factor on offense, finishing with only four points (2-of-9), but the league leader in assists posted a game-high 10 on Saturday, the record for a first-year player in the event. 

Breanna Stewart, Team USA forward: If not for Ogunbowale's historic night, Stewart might be the talk of the All-Star Game. Albeit in a losing effort, the reigning league MVP scored 31 points (10-of-21), which ties Jewell Loyd for the second-most in the game's history.

A'ja Wilson, Team USA center: Last year's All-Star Game MVP and the front-runner for the league honor so far, performed valiantly in the loss. Wilson, who leads the WNBA in points (27.2) and rebounds (12.0) per game, posted 22 points (8-of-13), adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
