Fans of the New York Jets are hoping beyond hope that 40-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be able to remain healthy this season.
They got just a taste of Rodgers in a Jets uniform before he was lost for the season a few plays into the first game of the 2023-24 season. When healthy, the hope is that Rodgers can even play at a fraction of his four-time MVP form, which along with an elite defense, would give New York a legitimate opportunity to contend for a Super Bowl in 2024.
While the team's biggest strength might be its defense, that's not to say the Jets offense won't be able to contribute to that potential success, though. Especially if Rodgers can get synced up with soon-to-be third year wide receiver Garrett Wilson.
Those watching at Jets training camp got a preview of what that connection could look like on Thursday and it was exciting.
A healthy Aaron Rodgers with Garrett Wilson is good for football.

Wilson's route-running ability and speed make him a big play in a bottle. Throw in Rodgers' ability to hit anywhere on the field with pinpoint accuracy — even in his 40s — and there should be a real expectation for big-time seasons from both players.
As long as Rodgers can stay healthy, that's certainly possible.
