Could Tyreek Hill's injury open a door for the Chiefs?

For weeks, NFL fans and analysts speculated about a potential Tyreek Hill trade.

He didn't end last season on a high note, and it seemed that his relationship with Tua Tagovailoa had reached a breaking point. Then, with the Miami Dolphins falling to 0-3, rumors flooded social media again.

Of course, a return to the Kansas City Chiefs made sense for both parties. Patrick Mahomes needed more weapons with Rashee Rice suspended and Xavier Worthy hurt, and Hill would've gotten another chance to play for a Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, that won't be the case anymore, as Hill will be out for the season with a knee injury. Nevertheless, he could still help his former team.

Chiefs could trade for De'Von Achane

The Dolphins may have won their first game of the season, but without Hill, their chances of making the playoffs look even slimmer.

There are rumblings about head coach Mike McDaniel and GM Chris Grier potentially losing their jobs, and some even believe they could move on from Tagovailoa.

That leaves the door wide open for the Chiefs to swoop right in and solve their issues at running back.

Isiah Pacheco has been a shell of himself since his injury last season, and Kareem Hunt can only give them so much right now. They seem to like rookie Brashard Smith, but going after an explosive playmaker would certainly boost their pedestrian offense.

Achane has struggled with injuries in the past, but he's one of the fastest running backs in the game.

If the Dolphins are looking to waive the white flag, he looks like a perfect trade chip.
