Aces are close to a dynasty after Game 3 WNBA Finals win over Mercury

The Las Vegas Aces are one win away from cementing themselves as a dynasty in the WNBA.

Las Vegas knocked off the Phoenix Mercury 90-88 on Wednesday night to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

How the Aces beat the Mercury

Las Vegas used a massive performance from its four-time MVP A'ja Wilson to give itself the 3-0 series lead. Wilson finished the night with 34 points and 14 rebounds, good for her third double-double of the series. It was also Wilson's game-winning jump shot with 0.3 remaining on the clock to secure the win for the Aces.

Alongside Wilson, both Jackie Young (21) and Jewell Loyd (16) added double-digit points.

Standouts for Mercury in Game 3 loss to Aces

Phoenix had two players eclipse 20 points, as both DeWanna Bonner (25) and Satou Sabally (24) eclipsed that mark.

Bonner's 25 points came off the bench and were her most in a game this season.

What lies ahead in the WNBA Finals

Unfortunately for the Mercury, Sabally did leave the game with an apparent head injury. According to the broadcast, Sabally will be tested for a concussion, leaving her status for Game 4 up in the air.

Speaking of Game 4, it will be Friday night in Phoenix. A win from the Aces would give them their third WNBA championship in the last three seasons.

That much dominance in a short amount of time would certainly cement Las Vegas as the newest dynasty in the WNBA.
