Coco Gauff has caught up with the amateur tennis player who stunned the world at the Australian Open.
The Australian Open main draw gets underway on Sunday, January 18, but there are still exhibition events taking place in fan week.
This includes the One Point Slam, where a total of 48 players, consisting of 24 professionals, 16 amateurs and eight wildcards, compete over just one point.
Players entering this event included Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Gauff, but it was actually an amateur who came out on top and claimed $1million.
Coco Gauff lost her only match at the One Point Slam this year, hitting her one serve straight into the net against Donna Vekic.
Despite hitting just one ball, Gauff still appears to have enjoyed the event and was clearly very excited by amateur Jordan Smith winning the whole event.
After Smith won the event, Gauff wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Great event! Lol I said when it started I hoped an amateur won!! Congrats Jordan soooo cold.”

One day after Smith’s triumph on Rod Laver Arena, Gauff revealed that she had met both Smith and his girlfriend in a new post on social media.
“Met the legend himself and his girlfriend! Lol I told her to get in the picture because behind every good man is a great woman.”

Smith is a tennis coach from New South Wales and qualified for the event as one of the state champions.
Although he clearly knows how to hit a ball, nobody expected Smith to beat six different opponents over just one point.
This started for Smith against Australian rules football player Bailey Smith, before he went on to beat his first professional in world number 200 Laura Pigossi.
While this was impressive for Smith, things went to another level when world number two Sinner faulted and was out of the tournament.
Smith then beat two-time Grand Slam finalist Amanda Anisimova, Pedro Martinez and then Joanna Garland in the final, capping off an incredible story.
This rewarded Smith with a $1million cheque, and he is now the big story ahead of the Australian Open getting underway.
