NASCAR Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski has seemingly set a goal in stone that creates a road map for the rest of his career.
In a social media post on Saturday, Keselowski appeared to signal that he wants to compete in the Cup Series for roughly eight more years in an attempt to reach 900 Cup Series starts.
"900 starts sounds nice to me," Keselowski said. "Will take about 8 more seasons, Definitely doable. Great broken leg recovery motivation."
Going into the 2026 Cup Series season, Keselowski sits at 593 Cup Series starts.
A few people have sent me this which got me thinking…

With 36 races in a Cup Series season, it would take just over 8.5 more seasons of Cup Series racing for Keselowski to reach the 900 start mark, assuming he doesn't miss a race during that time span.
Reaching a square 900 starts would put Keselowski third on NASCAR's all-time list of Cup Series starts, behind only Richard Petty (1,184) and Ricky Rudd (906).
Keselowski could move up to second on that list by racing for nine more seasons. Given that the 41-year-old is a co-owner of the team he drives for in Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, he likely has solid job security, and as long as he wants to keep racing and can do so competitively, there's a shot that he reaches 900 starts one day.
