Happy 54th birthday to 15-time NBA All-Star, four-time NBA champion, three-time Finals MVP, two-time scoring champion and Pro Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2016 inductee, Shaquille O’Neal!
O’Neal was selected first-overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic out of LSU, and he rewarded them with 23.4 points and 13.9 rebounds-per-game en route to the 1992-93 Rookie of the Year award. He’d play four All-Star seasons with the Magic before signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency ahead of the 1996-97 season. L.A. would also add Kobe Bryant that offseason via a draft-day trade with Charlotte, and the combination would win three-consecutive NBA titles from 1999-2002.
Shaq would go on to win another title with Dwyane Wade and the Heat in 2006 before spending very brief stints with Phoenix, Cleveland and Boston before retiring in 2011.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Shaq is one of 19 players with multiple NBA scoring championships in their career. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
