Of his many big moments and accolades, LeBron James will probably remember one play from Thursday night's game as much as any when he's long retired.
James was part of a new first for the NBA in the Los Angeles Lakers' 119-103 win over the Golden State Warriors.
Late in the first quarter, James received an outlet pass from none other than his son, Bronny, to set up a dunk.
And when the elder James slammed the two points home, he made NBA history with his son, marking as the first time the league has ever experienced a son-to-father assist in a game.

And to make the moment even better, they both made an impact in the Lakers' win. LeBron added 26 more points to his all-time leading total as the NBA's career scoring king. He was 11-for-17 from the field on the night and also recorded eight rebounds and 11 assists, giving him a double-double and two boards away from a triple-double.
As for Bronny, he put up 10 points of his own in 20 minutes of action. He connected on 4-of-7 shots and had one rebound and three total assists, including one to his dad.
The moment of their offensive connection can now go right up there with the original history they made when they became the first father and son duo to play together in an NBA game — they did so for the first time on Oct. 22, 2024 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Thanks to the moment and the much-needed win, the Lakers are 51-29, sitting a half of a game back of the Houston Rockets, their likely first-round opponent in the playoffs.
