To say that Mason Miller has been performing well is an understatement. He has a perfect ERA of 0.00 with a 0.32 WHIP with four saves across six games played.
The 27-year-old has also surrendered only one hit and a walk, while punching out 16 of 21 opponents, showcasing his dominance.

Miller is running the show
Miller anchors a dominant San Diego Padres bullpen that contains vital relievers, Adrian Morejon and David Morgan.
He also owns a 76.2% historic strikeout rate, which is the best by a pitcher across six starts since 1900.
But his success doesn't stop there, as he is on a 27 2/3 unbroken scoreless streak, and it's the most prolonged continuous run in the majors.
Illustrating his top-tier velocity skills, Miller is a flamethrower whose fastball reaches triple digits (103 mph+). Evidently, no pitcher in Padres history has ever thrown a pitch that fast as a strikeout.

Miller was traded to the Padres on July 31st, 2025, and his season was outstanding, sporting a 0.77 ERA across 22 starts. In the postseason, he also tied the record with eight successive strikeouts.
This season, he's coming out with a bang due to his expanded arsenal. Adding a changeup has made him more productive when facing left-handed hitters.
He's a threat and has made it very difficult for hitters, making him practically unhittable. He has held batters to a measly batting average below .100.
Also nicknamed "The Reaper," the former Athletics closer is playing in his prime and is a valuable asset to the Padres, remaining under team control through 2029.
