For Buffalo Bills fans who may be worried fatherhood will make quarterback Josh Allen change too much, don't be. He's still the same fun-loving guy.
Allen and his wife, actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld, announced the birth of their daughter in her Substack on April 2. The couple didn't reveal the exact birth date or her name.
Allen is losing sleep after his child's arrival, but that's not stopping him from enjoying himself.
The Buffalo Sabres had Allen beat their drum before Game 2 of their Eastern Conference first-round series against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night to hype up the home crowd. Fans went berserk when he chugged a beer after banging the barrel.

This came after Allen spoke on parenting during a Monday news conference.
"I think it definitely changes the mindset a little bit. I am very excited," the QB said Monday, per Alec White of the team website. "I do think this is going to be the best version of myself in all aspects in my professional career and my personal life. That 'want to win' will never change. The 'why I want to do it' has. So why I want to do it and to show my family, to show my daughter how hard you need to work in order to accomplish something so great. And as long as I play this game, that's going to be my mindset."
Downing a cold one before a hockey game may not be what Steinfeld had in mind, but Buffalo fans will approve. They don't want the QB to lose his competitive fire, which aided him in becoming one of the top players in the NFL in his first eight seasons with the team.
Since the Bills took Allen with pick No. 7 in the 2018 NFL Draft, he has won a league MVP, made four Pro Bowls and earned two second-team All-Pro nods. Per Pro Football Reference, he ranks 11th among active players in touchdown passes (220).
He has yet to win a Super Bowl, but perhaps his little bundle of joy will give him the "dad strength" he needs to do so.
